Godflaw

I know why the world is damaged,
bombs and electrons and poisons rampage.
Longing for length between catastrophes
Prayer is proportional to events unseen.

I know why the world isn't right
because I have pained my way through the night
and I have been addicted to god
then cursed among His abandoned laws.

There is no evil, only gravity
it's physics that guides the world unseen.
We think that meaning holds a cure
to our genetic loneliness; as icebergs have learned.
Melt, then arise, then build a reason
to guide our eyes to the event horizon

I know why my hope is gone
and I know whom to credit these songs
and I know where our theories went wrong
and why the pews erupt in applause.
The reason why the world is flawed
is the same reason we first invented a god
